23rd Annual Pentecost Sunday World Missions Offerings
April 7, 2013 through May 19, 2013

For seven Sundays, starting 4/7/2013 until 5/19/2013 (Pentecost Sunday), we will have our 23rd Annual Pentecost Sunday World Missions Offering. We will raise 36 flags of different countries (from Bangladesh to the USA) at $165 per flag for a total goal of $5,940. For each flag raised, $100 will go to our CRC missionary in Nigeria and $65 will go to our AIM missionary in Canada. Any excess beyond our goal will be distributed 60% for our AIM missionary and 40% for our CRC missionary. Please pray, plan, save and give over and above your regular offering. Also, we will be watching short world missions videos at the beginning of the Sunday School time.

Ascension Day Service

Join us tonight as we commemorate the ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ to heaven, 40 days after His resurrection. Just before His ascension, Jesus told the apostles that they will receive power through the Holy Spirit.

"'But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.'

After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight." (Acts 1:8-9 NIV)

Fifty days after the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ or 10 days after His ascension, the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles.

"When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.
