The Feminine Christ has Returned????

   A reader just sent me a link on the feminine Christ.   The feminine Christ says "As energetic human beings, we are composed of masculine and feminine energies."  But Moses wrote in Genesis 1:27:  "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them."  Four chapters later we read  " He created them male and female and blessed them. And when they were created, he called them 'man.' ”  God created two distinct human beings, male and female, and all human beings afterwards are male or female.  Gender blending is not how God created us.
     She says "The coming of Christ is indeed imminent, but the return of Jesus is not.  Christ has returned in a female embodiment."  There are numerous problems with this.  First, in the New Testament "Christ Jesus" is mentioned over eighty times and "Jesus Christ" is mentioned another 130 times.  No where in the Bible is there even a hint that that Jesus of Nazareth is different from the Christ, the Anointed one, the Messiah.  Second, when the Lord returns, it will be a noisy return.  My father used to call I Thessalonians 4:16 the noisiest verse in the Bible:  "For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first."  With the trumpet call of God awakening the dead, we would hear it.  So when she says that Christ has returned, it is simply false.  Third, Jesus Christ was and is male.  Luke 2:7 states that Mary "gave birth to her firstborn, a son."

Thoughts:  Christians need to read and trust the Bible.  Do not be blown away by every wind, every rumor, every new fad.  Read your Bible daily and find out what it really says.  Be discerning.  Be like the Bereans who "received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true."  Acts 17:11

Is it lunacy to believe in creation in six days?

     Is it lunacy to believe in the world being created in six days?  The problem that the evolutionist has had, has, and will have, is how complex this world is.  The world is too complex to be made by chance.  In this week's Business Week there is an article on the genome.  According to the article, the human's genome (chromosome) has 3,000,000,000 (that is three billion!) nucleotides, or data points.  So the human race either evolved from muck and slime and some how all these three billion nucleotides arranged themselves into the right order, or God could have created man.  Because the evolutionist starts out with the premise that God does not exist, he has to come up with a scenario where all these nucleotides arrange themselves in just the right order.  Mathematically that is impossible.  But instead of going to God, he says that all he needs is more time.  But more time does not solve the problem because it is mathematically impossible to arrive at the solution.
      The article goes on to say that even something as simple as rice's "genome is significantly shorter than that of humans but still large enough to impress."  And scientist are still trying to figure out why some human gene pools are more likely to get a certain type of disease, or why some gene pools respond better to certain medical treatments than others.
      So let us praise God that He has created us so uniquely.  The more man studies the human body, the more he finds evidence of the Creator.  If only man would acknowledge the Creator.

The Scariest Verse in the Bible?

The scariest verse in the Bible may be Psalm 139:23-24 where King David writes:
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart;
    test me and know my anxious thoughts.
24 See if there is any offensive way in me,
    and lead me in the way everlasting.

      Why would you ask an omniscient and holy God to search you?  I can hide sins from my wife, my family, and my church.  But I can't hide my sins from God.  So why ask God to search me when He already knows me?
      This verse was written by David who committed adultery with Bathsheba, and then had her husband murdered in battle so he could marry her.  Later he numbers the fighting men of Israel and the Lord sends an angel who kills 70,000 men.  This is more than 20 times the number who died in the 9/11 attacks,
    So why would David ask for the Lord to search his heart?
    I think the reason is because he knows that if he confesses his sins the Lord will forgive his sins.  That is why he also asks God to lead him in the way everlasting.  In Christ we have a complete healing and forgiveness of sins.  And in Christ, the Holy Spirit can lead us into the way everlasting.
      The challenge is for us to ask God for forgiveness, and then to walk in the way of righteousness.  We cannot do this ourselves.  We must rely on the Holy Spirit to lead us in the way everlasting.
