We have been watching The Magnificent Century, a Turkish film about Suleyman the Magnificent.  In the film, two women vie for his attention:  Mahidevran, his first concubine who gave him his first son, and Hürrem who bore him (so far in the film) a son, Mehmed,  and a daughter, Mihrimah.  Watching the two concubines fight over Suleyman reminded us very much of the fighting between Leah and Rachel over Jacob.

When God created Adam, he created one wife for him, not two.

Thank you Lord for my wife.
